Malindi Marine National Park & Reserve Entrance Fees :  Malindi Marine National Park & Reserve is a stunning marine park situated along the Northern Coast of Kenya, established in 1968, this park is one of the first ever marine parks to be established in Kenya.

Malindi Marine National Park is located in Malindi, off the Kenyan Coast and it is possible to access this beautiful park by road.

Malindi Marine National Park is endowed with aquatic life and is home to over 600 species of fish, dolphins, turtles, anemones, crabs, lobsters, sea cucumbers, prawns, octopuses, dugongs, and diverse birdlife.

The park also protects a treasure of beautiful coral gardens, fringing reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves and mudflats

Also known for its white – sandy beaches, Malindi Marine National Park is a very rewarding marine part to visit. The park has received many prominent visitors including Ernest Hemingway who visited in 1930s in search of sarlin, Wahoo and sailfish which Africa is blessed with.

Other beautiful technicolor fish of all shapes and various size include half beaks, puffers, thorns head, Trigger Fishers, Zebras fish, Lizard fish, Flute Mouths, Hawk Fishers mentioned few.

Malindi National Park’s landscape offers plain sites and its climate various o hot and humid all year round, the daily minimum temperature measures around 22 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius maximum. The area receives short rains from October to November and long rains normally occur from April to July.

Malindi is a relatively small town sitting at the stunning center of a strip of idyllic tropical beaches offering a number of world-class resorts and excellent relaxing hideways, there are relatively inexpensive fishing facilities that are used by the fishers and on international bill fish contest which usually happens during January.

The annual sea festival also known as fishing competitions is hosted in Malindi between October and November.

 Malindi Marine National Park & Reserve is located 120 kilometers north of Mombasa and 28 kilometers south of Malindi, driving along the main Mombasa – Malindi Road, turn towards the Indian Ocean and the park sits 11 kilometers from the main road.

The nearest town to the park in Malindi, a seaside town set along a strip of tropical beaches which are popular with holidaymakers in search of sun. if you are interested in flying to Malindi Marine National Park and Reserve, the nearest airstrip is also located in Malindi.

Malindi Marine National Park & Reserve is pleasant to visit year – round with an average temperature of between 22 – 34 degrees, however the best time to visit is during the dry season which is June – September and January – March.
