The Olkaria geothermal spa has got three cascaded lagoons. That is the first lagoon is a receiving pond for the hot brine with a temperature of more than 900 C that is gathered from various wells in the Olkaria Geothermal field. The facility is owned by the Kenya Electricity Generating Company.
The second lagoon is an overflow from the first lagoon and offers temperatures of up to 500C, designed in an aesthetic manner, thus lagoon has both shallow and also the deep ends.

The opening hours is from Monday to Sunday and from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, but however during the weekend is when the party kicks in most of the times. Taking the Nairobi-Nakuru High and drive up to Naivasha Town distance of about 91 kilometers, once in the Naivasha Town then take the famous Moi South Lake and then drive for about 22 kilometers up to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa Naivasha.
Then the second option is through using the Mai Mahiu-Naivasha Road as you have phenomenal views of the great rift valley, while on the same road, you will see the Moi South Lake on your left just 2 kilometers to Naivasha, and then drive to the centre from there you will reach the Olkaria Geothermal spa.
