Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a sanctuary for orphaned baby elephants and victims of the ivory poaching trade nestled on the edge of Nairobi national park, the sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates elephants from all over Kenya and offers visitors an opportunity to see baby elephants hurtle out of the acacia forest into muddy watering hole area to meet their keepers for feeding time. Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage is opened for visitors at 11 am.

Amboseli national park is one of the best places in Africa to see elephants as it is a home to large herds of elephants, you will also see other animals such as lions, rhinos, giraffes among others and the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari driver- guide and be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust transfer to Amboseli and afternoon game drive

You will be picked from your hotel after breakfast and head to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which open at 11:00 pm for visitors, during your visit you will watch baby elephants play in muddy watering hole area, roll in the mud and wander back into the woodlands. In the period of one hour, you will learn more about conservation and the lifestyle of the elephants.

You will head back to the hotel for lunch, then checkout and embark on a journey to Amboseli national park arriving in the late afternoon, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day in Amboseli national park

Wake up early for breakfast and transfer to Amboseli for a full day game drive in morning and afternoon game drive with your lunch box, on this day you will have a chance to explore the park and see a variety of wildlife including large herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, gazelles, warthogs among others.

You will enjoy picnic lunch set in one of the picnic sites in the park and then go for another game drive exploring the park more. After enjoying the magnificent sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: transfer to Nairobi and departure

After morning breakfast, you will bid farewell and head back to Nairobi where you will be dropped at either the airport or at the hotel in Nairobi.
