5 days Samburu and Amboseli Safari is a classic Kenya safari taking on an Africa safari to the remote wilderness of Samburu National Reserve and Amboseli National Park, on this safari you will visit the remote and arid northern region of Samburu national reserve where you will find desert adapted species such as the Gerenuk and the Reticulated Giraffe among others.
You will then travel to Amboseli national park where you will see large herds of elephants against the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa.

Detailed itinerary of 5 days Samburu and Amboseli Safari
Day 1: Arrival and tansfer to Samburu national reserve
Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and after a short briefing about the safari. You will embark on a journey to Samburu national reserve in the northern region of Kenya, along the way you will have lunch and when you arrive in the park that is the evening you will have en-route game drive to your lodge.

Day 2: full day game drive
Enjoy early breakfast and head to the reserve for a full day game drive, this arid region is home to a diversity of wildlife that is sustained by the Ewaso Ng’iro River and during the full day game drive. Look out for desert animals such as Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, the somali ostrich and the Generuk. other animals to lookout for include olive baboons, warthogs, grant’s gazelle, kirk’s dik – dik, impala and waterbucks and black rhinocerous which has been re-introduced into the park.
You will enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue with exploring the reserve, in the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: drive back to Nairobi
After beakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a jouney back to Nairobi City arriving in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: transfer to Amboseli and afternoon game drive
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey to Amboseli national park, from Nairobi City to Amboseli it is a drive of about 4 hours meaning you will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive. you will be welcomed by the scenic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and during the game drive you will spot large herds of elephants, lions, cape buffaloes, elands, warthogs among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and with en-route game drive you will head back to Nairobi, you will be dropped either at the airport or at the hotel marking the end of the safari.
