Where to stay in Nairobi West

Where to stay in Nairobi West : There are numerous lodging options in Western Nairobi, each situated in a different part of the city.  We have recommended the Nairobi suburban hotels listed below.

Giraffe Manor

A stay at Giraffe Manor will provide you with one-on-one encounters with giraffe during your Kenya tour. It is situated on twelve acres of private property and about twelve miles from Nairobi’s downtown and eighteen miles from JKI Airport, the hotel retains a large portion of its original 1932 design while providing all the contemporary conveniences you need for your visit. The Rothschild giraffes at the Giraffe Manor are what really make it stand out from other Kenya safari destinations. You won’t have to worry about trying to see them on the grounds because they frequently poke their heads through open windows and over balconies to collect feed pellets from Kenya safari visitors.

While each of the 12 rooms provides a comfortable space to unwind and get ready for the day’s events, the room you select may have an impact on how you engage with the giraffes.  The giraffes can also be fed from the window of the Kelly Room, and the balconies of the Daisy and Betty Rooms are great for feeding outside.  But Jock Room, where you can feed a giraffe from the comfort of your bed, might be the most amazing experience with the giraffes.

More than 180 species of avi-fauna have been identified on the hotel grounds, and if you are looking for lodging for a small group or family tour of Kenya, the lodge offers two large suites, Finch Hatton and Karen Blixen. The giraffes are not accessible near these suites but in the breakfast room. You may also see other wildlife here such as dik diks, bushbucks, warthogs, and a few others.  Giraffe Manor expanded its little collection by two rooms in 2017. The cuisine at Giraffe Manor is a fusion of traditional and foreign ingredients that are expertly blended to satisfy your appetite, making dinner a magnificent affair.

Furthermore, savouring the flavours under the starry night sky, which is only illuminated by traditional safari lanterns, makes any honeymooner’s and couple’s ideal trip to Africa incredibly romantic.  Among the top kenya safari attractions in the area are the city’s historical and cultural sites, the Karen Blixen Museum, the Nairobi National Park and Museum, and the educational Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, which can be included in your guided day tours of Nairobi with kenya safari.

The House of Waine

The family-run boutique hotel House of Waine is situated outside of Nairobi on 2.5 acres of serene gardens. It provides a peaceful haven near Nairobi’s most visited city tour destinations.  The hotel, which was once the family’s private home, has been converted into a happy and sophisticated 11-room luxury lodging where each kenya safari visitor is made to feel very welcome.  The Ziwa Room’s earth brown and lake blue decor and the Tembo Room’s soft elephant grey décor are two examples of how each guest room is uniquely designed to honour local cultures, like the Maasai-inspired Manyatta Room, and to evoke the untainted wilderness you will encounter during your Kenyan safari trips in East Africa.

The hotel’s smallest accommodation, the Kanini accommodation, is ideal for kids and has a direct connection to the Makan Room. Honeymooners and couples looking for romantic vacations in Africa might like the Victoria Room, which has a cast iron four-poster bed and a fireplace.  The hotel’s single suite, the Malaika Suite, has a canopied bed and a sitting room and was inspired by the matriarch of the family.  Every room has a separate shower and bathtub, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a direct-dial phone, tea and coffee makers, a personal safe, free Wi-Fi, and fresh flowers every day.

Karen Blixen Cottages

The old residence of the Danish author of “Out of Africa,” Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages, is less than ten miles from Nairobi’s downtown.  The cottage house is ideally situated to greet you during your kenya safari activities. It is 18 miles from Jomo Kenyatta Airport and around 8 miles from Wilson Airport, all of which are in the upscale suburb of Karen.  One of Kenya’s oldest formal gardens, surrounded by almost five acres of native forest, is home to giant jacaranda, bottlebrush, cactus, and more than 200 different types of flora. Throughout the year, you may enjoy scented blossoms, fluttering butterflies, and hundreds of different bird species.

The 12 guest cottages, which can accommodate 30 people, are designed after the Swedo House, which was finished in 1908 as a hunting lodge and farm house. They have a historic feel from the past but also feature contemporary conveniences like a telephone, satellite television, internet access, a fireplace, a minibar, a large bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, a private verandah and room service that is available around-the-clock. All of the cottages are situated among lush gardens. Three two-bedroom cottages with a separate sitting space are available for small groups and families on safari, while eight of the cottages are ideal for singles and couples. The honeymoon suite is a quiet haven with two fireplaces, one in the huge bedroom and one in the living room, ideal for a romantic “Out of Africa” honeymoon in Kenya.

Palacina Nairobi

The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is about 12 miles away from the Palacina Nairobi, while the city centre is about 3 miles away.  For your historical and cultural excursions of Nairobi, the hotel is situated in a residential area; nevertheless, because it is close to the Nairobi Arboretum Park and the State House presidential grounds, you won’t be bothered by the air pollution from traffic or city noise.  The hotel offers one, two, or three-bedroom apartments for guests on extended business trips in East Africa, in addition to 14 boutique suites, including two penthouse suites.  The suites and apartments come equipped with a minibar, satellite TV with a DVD player, and internet connection as standard features.

The layout of the suites is comfortable and roomy, with a living area, a private bathroom, a private balcony, a Jacuzzi tub and a balcony that faces the front.  You will love the many contemporary amenities in your suite, including a microwave oven, electric kettle, cutlery, and other basic kitchen equipment, whether you are travelling for work or for an exciting vacation in Africa.  Apart from the usual facilities, your flat comes with free daily newspapers, housekeeping and safe parking.  The hotel’s fitness centre, swimming pool, private lounge, spa, guest laundry room, business centre, and wireless hotspot in the lobby are all available to all Kenya safari visitors.
