4 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha Safari is a short but very rewarding Kenya wildlife safari tailored for tourists who have less time for a Kenya safari but wish to experience the best of Kenya’s wilderness.

This safari takes you on a Kenya safari adventure to best of Kenya’s national parks / wildlife destinations that is Maasai Mara national reserve, Lake Nakuru national park and Lake Naivasha where you will visit the crescent Island.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 4 DAYS MAASAI MARA, LAKE NAKURU AND LAKE NAIVASHA SAFARI

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara national reserve

You will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi at 06:00 am by our safari guide and after a short briefing about the safari you will embark on a journey to Maasai Mara national reserve. Along the way you will stop at the Great Rift Valley view point for pictures and enjoying scenic views of the escarpments.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will head to the reserve for a game drive searching and spotting various animals including lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeests, elands, cheetahs, herds of elephants among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Main Destination: Masai Mara national Reserve

Day 2: short morning game drive, visit the Maasai people and transfer to Lake Nakuru  

Wake up early for breakfast and head to reserve for an early morning game drive searching for more animals which you might have missed during the previous game drive, you will explore the reserve more and spot animals such as lions, cheetahs, oribi, Maasai giraffes among others.

After the game drive, you will head to the Masai people for a cultural visit where you will get a deeper insight in the beautiful and unique way of life of these amazing people which hasn’t been destroyed by modernity or technology. You will be entertained by local dances and drama, participate in cattle rearing and other activities if time permits.

Then you will head back to lodge for lunch and then check out and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru where you arrive in the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Main Destination: Lake Nakuru national park

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will head to the park for a morning game drive exploring the savannah plains of Lake Nakuru national park, during the game drive you will enjoy watching several animals including rhinos, leopards, lions, giraffes, warthogs among others. You will also visit Lake Nakuru where you spot various bird species including concertation of pink flamingoes, pelicans among others.

You will have lunch at your lodge, then checkout and embark on a journey to Lake Naivasha which is approximately 2 hours of drive away. You will arrive in evening and spend the evening resting at the lodge, have dinner and spend the night.

Main Destination: Lake Naivasha

Day 4: visit Crescent Island and transfer back to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Naivasha for a visit to the Crescent Island which is found in the middle of the lake and accessed by a boat ride, while at the island you will watch several animals such as giraffe, zebra, hippos, antelope, wildebeest, and many birds such as goliath heron, spoonbills and giant kingfishers.

You will then embark on a journey back to Nairobi and along the way you will have en-route lunch, when you arrive in Nairobi, you will be dropped off either at your lodge or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
