DETAILED OF 7 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI, GORILLAS AND WILDLIFE
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our representatives who will give you a warm welcome. After a short briefing and greetings, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and set off on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. along the way you will have a stopover at the equator monument for pictures and lunch in Mbarara then proceed to the park. From Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable national park it is a drive of approximately 8-9 hours through the beautiful countryside.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the best gorilla trekking destination in world as it is home to the world biggest population of mountain gorillas, the park is located in the southwestern corner in Uganda. The park is dominated by tropical forests which are home to the endangered mountain gorillas and are where they are found on a gorilla trekking adventure.
Arrive in the park in evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest
Immediately after breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during the trek, you will be grouped into 8 people and be assigned a gorilla family to trek. With an armed ranger and guides you will head to the starting point then into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
As you trek through the forests you will spot various species of flora, primates such as olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and many birds. When you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to stay 1 hour in their presence while watching them go on with their daily life, watch them play on tree branches, take amazing pictures. Remember that flash photography is not allowed.
Return to the park’s headquarters to pick your trekking certificates and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full day game drive
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha Sector famous for the tree climbing lions which you will spot resting on the branches of trees.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular wildlife safari in Uganda situated on the rim of the Albertine Rift Valley, the park is home to abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants among others.
When you arrive in the park’s Ishasha sector you will have a game drive, lookout for many animals including the tree climbing lions, antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs among others. Head to your lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you return to the park’s savannah plains for a game drives exploring the park more and spotting more animals. After sunset you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Boat cruise in Kazinga Channel and transfer to Kibale National Park
Wake up early and head to the park for an early morning game drives along the Kasenyi plains where you will see lions, kobs, waterbucks, cape buffaloes, spotted hyenas, warthogs and mongoose. Morning game drive is perfect to see predators as they return from hunting.
Head back to the lodge for breakfast and rest with a book in your hand or take a swim, later in the afternoon you will leave for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a highlight attraction in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kazinga Channel is a natural water channel connecting Lake Edward to Lake George.
On the boat cruise, you will you will see many hippos, Nile crocodiles in the water, elephants, buffaloes and warthogs on the shores drinking and bathing and numerous water birds including herons, shoebills, crested crane among others. After the experience, you will exit the park and embark on a journey to Kibale National Park arriving late in the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking and how to behave while in their presence. After the briefing you will be grouped into 6 people, be assigned a chimpanzee community to trek and head into the jungle of Kibale looking for chimpanzees.
Chimpanzee trekking takes approximately 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent the previous night, unlike mountain gorillas, chimpanzees are very mobile creatures. In search for chimpanzees, you will spot other primates such as olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and many birds.
When you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour in their presence watching them play on tree branches, take care of each other and collecting fruits to feed on. You are allowed to take pictures as long as your flight is off. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and transfer back to Entebbe depending on your departure time.
