Camping Sites in Nairobi : Camping is one of the best safari activities to do outside when it’s warm and you’re with family and friends. There are many beautiful places to go camping and have fun outside near Nairobi. Here are some wonderful spots to camp in Nairobi.

  1. Nairobi Tented Camp.

The camp is in Nairobi National Park, and each of the 8 tents has a private bathroom, a gas or kerosene stove and a sheepskin rug. You would have a great view of Kisembe Valley and other nearby forests, and you could take the guided walk to the valley. Another intriguing part is the daily and nightly safari excursions organized at this camp.

  1. Wildebeest Eco Camp.

This camp is quiet and would be a great place for a date or a break with the family. The tents are comfortable and have all the things you need. The food is also very good. They give you a free breakfast and serve you drinks and food all day long if you ask for them. It is in a quiet part of Nairobi, which makes it an ideal spot to get away from the stress of city life.

  1. Oloolua Nature Trail.

This 5-km trail would get you as close to nature as possible for a day of camping without a place to stay. It’s perfect for a small picnic with friends and family because you can just throw a mat under the shade and rest. On the path, you could also get some exercise. There are a lot of trees, grass, a small cave, and a beautiful waterfall.

This is a perfect camping ground to visit if you have a curiosity in seeing wildlife.  The big savannah would keep you busy, and if you were there when the animals were eating, it would be a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime event. There are no fees to get in, and anyone can visit from 8 am to 7 pm.

The park offers an idyllic setting for a cool camping safari experience. There are many different kinds of trees and places to have a picnic and enjoy the nature scenery. Places like wedding receptions and other events are sometimes held there. So, you might not be able to get in on those days. But it isn’t usually busy, and you can do anything from running to looking at sights.

This is a forest right in the urban centre of Kenya’s capital city. It is an awesome spot to take a walk or get some miles on your running, cycle during the dry season or just pitch a tent and have a nice time. There are a lot of trees and a wide range of other plants and flowers, as well as some animals. There are gorgeous streams and caves, which make sightseeing even more fun.

The camp is on the western edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and has a great view of the reserve and the river. You will not only learn about nature and animals, but also about the people and how they live. They have both classic and luxury tents, and campers can do fun things like bush walks, horseback rides, game drives, and ballooning.

Located in the Greater Maasai Mara region, Leleshwa is a small secluded camp where you can have a private experience with your family or friends. They have fascinating wildlife safari activities which include a game drive at dawn where you would come across Impalas, gazelles, hyenas, and lions. You can even ask for a tour in a hot-air balloon.

This is a real paradise away from the noise of the city, just like its name says. The lake is in the middle of a beautiful forest that is home to many animals and plants. There are likely to be cats, buffalo, and elephants at the lake, where they come to drink. Rangers are there to make sure campers are safe.

If you like animals, especially crocodiles, this park would be a lot of fun. You will find many crocodiles and you can even get to see them eat during the feeding time. The most amazing thing is that the guides let you hold a baby croc! Turtles and ostriches are also there to see.

Acacia Camp is a laid-back camp on Magadi Road that has reasonable prices for rooms. They have a lot of room outside for guests to set up their own tents. On the campsite, you can also use clean public toilets and baths. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar where you can get good food and drinks.

  1. Rowallan National Scouts Camp.

The Kenyan Scouts Movement is in charge of this camp. They have places to stay, but groups can also set up their own huts and take care of their own food. It’s a great place to hold track and trail events for kids and just enjoy the forest in general.

  1. AngaAfrikas Luxury Tents.

Camping and luxury are often seen as opposite terms but at this place, you can get both in the real sense of the word. The Karen neighborhood in Nairobi is excellent for camping because it feels like a small town and has lots of greenery. It is close to some of the most famous safari spots, making it a great place to stay.

  1. Indaba Campsite.

This camp is only for tourists and is not open to Kenyans. It is in the quiet neighborhood of Karen in Nairobi. They provide a safe and calm place to be. They provide boarding and dining facilities that can cater for up to four groups simultaneously.

This camp has different places to stay so that everyone can find something they like. They have safari tents right on the open fields, dorm rooms, en-suite and non-en-suite rooms and larger rooms to cater to families. It’s a nice place to stay if you’re travelling around Kenya, and you can relax in the shade of the many trees there.
