The Park is located 9km/5mi south of Nairobi. The park is usually visited as a half –day or full-day trip from a hotel in the city. Getting to the city of Nairobi is easy it’s one of the biggest and busiest transport hubs on the continent. International flights arrive in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) 15km/9mi southeast of Nairobi.

The  Park can be accessed by both the Air and Road means of transport from Nairobi city up to the park.

By Road means of transport.

The Park is located in Langata Road in Karen. To get to Nairobi National Park by bus, you need to use Matatu Route Number 24. Board a bus or matatu from Kenya Bus Station/BS, Mfangano Street or at Kencom House Moi Avenue. The driving distance between Nairobi to the Park is a 15km, it takes approximately 30 minutes to drive from Nairobi to the Park.

By Air means of transport.

The Park is located in Nairobi and can therefore be easily reached by taking any flight to Nairobi. Both the international and the domestic airport are close to the national park entrance.
